Keep at it and eventually you will see success. How often do we need to hear this message over and over?
Sometimes when we don’t see immediate gratification, we think things aren’t working, so we tell ourselves some really choice things.
- I am a failure
- I should just give up
- This is hopeless
- I can’t make a difference
Well, those thoughts don’t do shit for anyone – especially YOU!
WE need you to keep going. The Nation is depending on each of us stepping into our power even if we are terrified to do so.
Here are three things that can help:
- Put one foot in front of the other. Find some fun socks, throw on your favorite walking shoes, and go for a walk. Sometimes when I feel stuck I walk around the block or even around the neighborhood. It clears my head and gives me clarity.
- Don’t change your approach – change your thoughts. Sometimes when I am feeling especially despondent about things that are happening in my life or the Nation I do some thought shifting.
Instead of thinking, “I can’t do anything about this” THINK “What is one thing I can do today”
Instead of thinking, “I am helpless” THINK “I can take action”
- Take the time to listen to your heart. What is it saying? What is it compelling you to do? Practice closing your eyes, taking a deep breath, and saying to yourself, “What do you want me to know?” Listen with your heart for the response.
